This series of medium-format film photographs were created between 2000-05 in spaces around the UK.  At the time, the images of landscape emerged from a desire to escape what I saw as the constraints of the human subject and explore the emotional world through an interaction with nature.  Having only worked as a documentary photographer, at the time my approach to landscape produced images that were emotional and raw responses to the places I visited. The work was first shown at The Special Photographers Company in London and then moved to Print Sales at The Photographers Gallery from 2003-2007.
